Dave Hittenmiller

Fatherhood Program Coordinator

I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and was one of five children in a good Catholic
home. My parents loved us and raised us in a stable home. In high school I drew away from my
parents but they still loved and supported me.

I attended Iowa State University and found it exciting. I became a Christian in my freshman
year through the campus ministry of the Navigators. I enjoyed being discipled in my Christian
faith throughout my college career.

After graduation, I moved to Rockford, Illinois where I attended a vibrate Christian Church and
was involved in their college and career ministry. I moved to Chicago to attend Moody Bible
Institute in 1982 and received a certificate of their Advanced Studies Program.

My wife Tammy and I were married in 1983 and we have raised our family in the suburbs of
Chicago, the suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota and then in Rockford, IL. Our three children live in
Rockford and we have one grandchild. We have been active in our church during this time and I
retired on June 1 st 2024. I am now involved with the Fatherhood Program at The Rockford
Pregnancy Care Center. It is my desire and passion to encourage fathers to be great dads and
husbands so they can raise their families in a loving Christian environment.
